Included in every LNC Growth OS™ tier
On a proposal it is one line. In practice it is the piece of content that does the most work for a home service contractor, because it is the only thing you publish that is both proof and a ranking asset at the same time.
1 story per month · Never banked, never batched · Part of the LNC Organic Traffic Engine™
Once a month we take one real story from your business and build it out properly. It can be one of two kinds, and you pick which one each month.
A Project Highlight is a job your crew finished. Before, during, after, and what the customer got, built into a permanent page on your website that ranks for that service in that neighborhood, then fed to your Google Business Profile and your social mix.
A Press-Worthy Highlight is a moment worth telling people about. A charity drive, an award, a new location, a tenth anniversary, told in your own words and turned into a blog post on your site, a press release, and a set of social posts.
Twelve months in, you have twelve of them. Your competitor has a photo gallery.
Why this line gets underestimated
It is not that, and the difference is the whole point. A blog post is content. A Story Highlight is evidence, indexed and organized so that both a search engine and a nervous homeowner can find it and believe it.
The anatomy
Two kinds of story, two shapes. Both carry the same load-bearing parts. They are the parts that make it rank and the parts that make it persuade, and they are usually the same parts.
Behind the line item
This is the part nobody sees on a proposal. Seven steps, every month, run by our content and SEO team with our systems doing the heavy lifting underneath.
Either you flag a job you are proud of or a moment worth telling, or we pull one from the photos and job records already flowing through LNC360™. For a job, we are looking for a real before, a clear problem, and a location worth ranking in. For a press-worthy moment, we are looking for something your town would actually care about. If nothing obvious is there, we ask.
Our team, with your inputWe tell you exactly which shots we need and how to take them, and your crew grabs them from a phone on site. For a job, that is a wide before, a wide after from the same spot, two or three detail shots, and one of the crew working. For a press-worthy moment, it is two or three photos you own of the people and the event. We handle the cropping, the sequencing, the compression, and the alt text.
Your crew's phone, our productionA short call, a couple of voice notes from you or your foreman on the drive home, or the story form in your plan. We are after the things that never make it into a photo. What was really wrong, what the homeowner was worried about, what you decided and why. For a press-worthy moment, the who, what, when, where, and a quote in your own words.
About fifteen minutes of your timeBefore a word gets written we check what homeowners in that area type when they have that problem, or how local news and search engines describe that kind of moment. The story gets built around the way real people ask, not the way the industry writes about itself.
LNC SEO™Our systems do the first pass so nothing gets lost from the interview. Our content team then rewrites it to sound like your company and checks every technical claim. Human and AI together, which is the only way this stays both fast and accurate.
Human + AI, in that order of authorityWhen your plan includes client review, nothing publishes until you have read it and said yes. Any quote with your name on it gets your sign-off either way. If something is off, you tell us in plain words and we fix it. You do not rewrite anything yourself.
You, in a few minutesA Project Highlight becomes a structured page on your site with proper headings, structured data so search engines read it as a genuine project, internal links to the matching service and city pages, and a clear path to contacting you. Then it gets submitted for indexing, posted to your Google Business Profile, and worked into your social mix. A Press-Worthy Highlight goes up as a blog post on your site, goes out as a press release, and becomes three posts in your social mix over the following weeks. Either way it joins the set of proof we can send a prospect who is still deciding.
LNC Website Engine™, done for you start to finishYour main service page is competing with every other company in your market for the same handful of words. It should be. That is its job, and it is a long fight.
A Project Highlight is not in that fight. It goes after the searches nobody else has a page for, because nobody else did that job on that street with that problem. Those searches have less traffic each, which is exactly why they are winnable, and the person typing them is usually much closer to picking up the phone.
A Press-Worthy Highlight works from the other direction. When a local outlet or a community page picks up your story, that is a mention and a link from outside your site, pointing at your business by name. Search engines treat that the way a homeowner treats a referral from a neighbor. It counts more because you did not write it yourself.
Then there is the second effect, and it is the bigger one. Every story you publish adds another page of genuine, specific, first-hand work to your site. Search engines read that as a business that actually does the thing it claims to do, in the places it claims to do it. That lifts the pages you care most about, including the ones you have been trying to rank for years.
One story will not move your rankings. Twelve will change what your website is. This is a compounding asset, not a campaign, and we would rather tell you that up front than have you judge it in month two.
The cap, and why it is there
You cannot save them up and you cannot order six at once. That is deliberate, and it is worth explaining because it looks like a limit.
Six stories written in one sitting from six sets of photos, with no fresh interview and no new detail, produce exactly the thing we are trying to replace. A gallery page with more words. The value is in the production time each one gets.
A site that publishes real work every month reads as an active business. A site that published nine things in March and nothing since reads as an abandoned one. The cadence itself is part of the signal.
If a month goes by without a job or a moment worth featuring, we will tell you rather than manufacture one. And if you want more than one a month, that is a real conversation about expanding your content plan, not something we quietly borrow from next month to cover.
Your side of it
This is the whole list. If your crew is already taking job photos, you are most of the way there.
The who, what, when, and where. A quote from you, in your own words. And two or three photos you own of the people and the moment. That is the whole list for that kind of story. We will not run a press release on a quote you have not approved or a photo you do not have the right to use.
The photos and job details are usually already in the system by the time we go looking, because your crew captured them on site as part of the job. In that case the only thing we need from you is the fifteen minutes, and sometimes not even that.
Where it sits in your plan
Story Highlight Amplification™ is part of the LNC Organic Traffic Engine™, and it does not change between tiers. What changes around it is the volume of everything else.
| Organic Traffic Engine™ | Local Authority | Local Domination | Market Domination |
|---|---|---|---|
| Story Highlight Amplification™ / mo | 1 | 1 | 1 |
| SEO blog posts / mo | 4 | 8 | 8 |
| City or service pages / mo | up to 2 | up to 2, expanded | up to 2, deepest expansion |
| Press release / mo | 1 | 1 | 1 |
Every tier gets one. It is the one deliverable we did not scale by price, because a contractor doing one great job a month deserves the same proof as one doing forty.
Bring a job you are proud of, or a moment your town should hear about, to a call and we will walk through exactly what we would do with it, before you commit to anything.
